The variety of foods is really impressive in the French Market. There are different culture foods, a lot of great local cuisine with just about anything made with alligator and crawdads, Jambalaya, Gumbo, healthy food, food booths with fresh fruit or pastries, good, bad and overpriced food there. Get "tastes" from the stores and enjoy your final choices during a Jazz breakfast, listening to the street musicians playing while you shop and eat. The Big Easy's French Market is the place to try all types of food from Louisiana. Anything from gator bites to po' boy ... and try the oysters!
New Orleans' French Market is the place to go for souvenirs, local art, interesting food, people watching and so much more! It is very recommended for local charm and flavor and wonderful people.
